Job summary

AVANGRID POWER, LLC in the United States seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee engineering and construction activities for new energy projects and modifications of existing facilities. You will coordinate design, procurement, and EPC activities to meet cost and schedule targets across multiple sites.

The role requires leading engineers and site managers, tracking budgets, and providing updates to senior management. Travel up to 20% is expected with remote work supported across OR, WA, and TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related study with 10 years of experience in project engineering and construction.
• 5 years’ experience in project development or management.
• Strong oral and written communication, effective negotiating and dispute resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master.
• Ability to travel 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop design, procurement and construction contracts during pre-construction phases.
• Direct project engineers and site managers to meet milestones safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Negotiate and manage EPC activities and owner’s project management during implementation.
• Lead teams across wind and thermal energy projects and provide technical support.
• Provide updates to senior management on progress and issues.
• Forecast capital budget spending and support plant operations and improvements.
• Ensure feedback mechanisms for process improvements and audits.
