Job summary

AVANGRID POWER, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead engineering and construction activities across pre-construction and construction phases of multiple energy projects. You will evaluate costs, schedules and risks, oversee EPC activities, and ensure milestones are met within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management, 10 years' project experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related study.
• 5 years’ experience in project development or management.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master.
• Ability to travel 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop design, procurement and construction contracts during project pre-construction phases.
• Directs project engineers and construction site managers to meet milestones on schedule and within budget.
• Negotiate and manage EPC activities.
• Provide owner’s project management during project implementation on wind and thermal energy projects.
• Lead a team of professionals through design, construction, commissioning and operations.
• Provide periodic updates to senior management on project activities, progress and issues.
• Foster safety culture across project designs, construction and operation.
• Assist with technical due diligence with other departments.
• Forecast capital budget spending for assigned projects.
• Support plant operations including improvements, equipment acquisition and breakdown analysis.
• Ensure process feedback mechanisms for efficiencies and audits.
