Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products seeks a Senior Environmental Specialist/Environmental Engineer to support EHS&S compliance across our national platform. You will work with management and hourly staff to promote environmental excellence, guiding programs and continuous improvement in air and waste management.

The role collaborates with operational leaders and requires staying current on environmental legislation, with a remote setup near a major airport in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Science or Engineering related fields or relevant experience.
• Excellent communication across departments and management.
• Strong knowledge of air quality or other environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain environmental permits for plants and projects, especially air permitting during capital projects and mergers.
• Prepare and submit reports for USEPA and state agencies with partners (emission inventories, testing, permits).
• Monitor compliance tests and maintain EMS documentation; report violations to management and agencies.
• Review documents for ongoing compliance and update environmental requirements with IPG and CRH.
