Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products (ABP) seeks a Senior Environmental Specialist/Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance as part of the EHS&S team. You will promote environmental excellence, align with CRH policies, and work with management to achieve targets across the national platform.

This remote position requires collaboration with site leaders, maintaining EMS documentation, and developing environmental programs such as air quality, stormwater, and hazardous materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Science or Engineering related fields or relevant experience.
• Nationally recognized certifications preferred (e.g., FE, PE, CHMM, PMP, CIH).
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and assist with maintenance of all environmental permits for plants, sites, and projects, especially air permitting during Capital Projects and Mergers.
• Prepare and submit reports for USEPA and state agencies including Annual Emission Inventory, emissions testing, and permit modifications.
• Assist in ensuring compliance tests are conducted within permit timeframes.
• Maintain documentation compliance such as inspections, audits, and investigations.
• Report violations to management and regulatory agencies when required.
• Coordinate and conduct compliance reviews, inspections, and internal assessments.
• Stay informed on environmental legislation and industry trends.
