Job summary

Constellation West is seeking a Senior Middleware/Integration Engineer to lead the design, development, modernization, and ongoing support of enterprise middleware and API integration services for the IRS.

This full-time remote role is based in the United States with occasional onsite meetings, deployments, or knowledge transfer as needed; you will apply Java, IBM WebMethods, and cloud-native architectures to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience with IBM webMethods.
• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Background in application modernization.
• Experience in production support and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, modernization, and support of enterprise middleware and API integration services.
• Provide technical leadership for enterprise integration solutions using Java, IBM webMethods, and cloud-native architectures.
