Job summary

UNFI, a leading grocery and distribution firm, seeks an Enterprise Architect Principal to lead enterprise-wide system architecture. You will define principles, guide SOA and API design, and coordinate with security, data, and IT for scalable, secure solutions across the enterprise.

You will develop multi-year roadmaps, AS-IS/TO-BE blueprints, and governance processes while collaborating with senior leaders to ensure technology investments align with business goals and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience with a focus on enterprise architecture.
• Experience designing and guiding SOA, APIs, and cloud-native patterns.
• Strong collaboration with senior leaders and architects across domains.
• Familiarity with governance processes and architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred).

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-wide architecture principles and ensure alignment with business strategy.
• Lead architecture roadmaps, AS-IS/TO-BE analyses, and portfolio rationalization.
• Guide engineers and product teams on design choices and technology selections.
• Collaborate with security, data, and IT to ensure compliant, scalable solutions.
• Oversee API governance, data models, and cloud governance practices.
• Mentor junior architects and drive architecture governance through ARBs or equivalent.
