Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an IT Enterprise Application Architect to design, govern, and maintain the application strategy across the enterprise. You will lead architecture roadmaps, standards, and modernization initiatives to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities include integration governance, portfolio rationalization, and collaboration with IT and business leaders to drive technology decisions that shape the enterprise platform strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in application development, integration and architectural design.
• Cloud technologies, data architecture and SDLC knowledge; TOGAF is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategies.
• Define standards and best practices for design, development, and integration.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide guidance on modernization and future-state capabilities.
• Lead secure, scalable integration of complex systems and ensure interoperability.
• Rationalize portfolio and advise on build vs buy and lifecycle decisions.
• Ensure designs comply with enterprise standards and security protocols.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to align technology with initiatives.
