Job summary

Foundation Finance Company seeks a Software Architect to lead enterprise architecture strategy, guardrails, and cross-system planning. You’ll mentor teams, define standards, and drive architecture decisions across microservices, APIs, data flows, and cloud initiatives.

You will collaborate with DevOps, security, and product leaders to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure systems aligning with business priorities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related STEM field.
10+ years of progressive experience in software development, architecture, or technical leadership.
5+ years designing and delivering complex enterprise systems across front-end, middleware, back-end, integration, cloud, and data technologies.
Experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, architecture/design tools, Agile planning tools, cloud platforms, CI/CD platforms, data/integration technologies, and security tooling.

Responsibilities

Translate high-level objectives into actionable technical roadmaps and scalable architecture.
Define and evolve enterprise architecture strategy, patterns, and guardrails.
Chair cross-team architecture reviews and governance practices to reduce technical debt.
Lead architectural planning for cross-system changes spanning microservices, APIs, data flows, and integrations.
Guide cloud, platform, infrastructure, and security architecture with DevOps and security teams.
Serve as senior escalation point for outages, performance issues, and architectural risks.
Evaluate emerging technologies and build proofs of concept to reduce uncertainty.
Provide architectural mentoring and promote best practices and reusable patterns.
Establish secure coding, TDD, CI/CD, observability, and production stability.
Support Agile delivery by clarifying scope and dependencies.
