Job summary

Real Time Consulting (RTC) seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop safety-critical avionics software for Air Data Systems. Remote option available, with emphasis on DO-178B/C certification and cross-functional collaboration.

You will design, implement, verify, and maintain embedded software across the development lifecycle, ensuring quality while aligning with timelines and project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in embedded software development across the software development lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of DO-178B/C software certification processes.
• Knowledge of software development best practices.
• Knowledge of software architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, test, and implement embedded software for Air Data Systems applications.
• Develop software in accordance with DO-178B/C certification requirements for safety-critical avionics systems.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, software engineering, and other cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure successful project execution.
• Apply software development best practices, design patterns, and sound architectural principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support software verification, validation, and certification activities.
• Deliver high-quality software while meeting project schedules and technical objectives.
• Make timely, technically sound decisions while balancing detailed analysis with execution.
• Maintain software configuration using established configuration management tools.
