Job summary

Real Time Consulting (RTC) seeks a Systems Engineer to verify aircraft surveillance systems including TCAS, TAWS, ADS-B, and transponder subsystems. You will develop test procedures and scripts within ARP4754A and DO-178B frameworks, ensuring safety-critical compliance and robust system behavior.

The role requires a degree in engineering or CS and 3+ years of experience with embedded avionics, DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink, and strong communication skills. Phoenix, AZ-based position with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
• 3+ years of safety-critical embedded avionics system development.
• Experience creating system test procedures, cases and scripts.
• Familiar with ARP-4754A lifecycle and DO-178B software lifecycle.
• Familiar with DOORS for requirements capture and tracing.
• Familiar with ClearCase and ClearQuest for configuration management and change tracking.
• MATLAB/Simulink for performing simulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform system verification activities for aircraft surveillance systems.
• Support ARP-4754A and DO-178B compliant development cycles.
• Work with TCAS, TAWS, ADS-B and transponder subsystems.
• Develop and execute system test procedures and scripts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety-critical requirements are met.
