Job summary

Plan B Climatech, a Boston-area MEP engineering firm, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own electrical design for mission critical, healthcare, and life sciences projects.

You will lead projects from concept through construction administration, coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection teams, review and stamp drawings, and mentor junior staff. The role requires a Massachusetts PE license and strong client presentation skills; hybrid work in Boston area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience within an MEP or building systems consulting setting.
• Massachusetts PE license, or eligibility to obtain via reciprocity.
• Experience with mission critical, healthcare, and life sciences facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical analysis tools (SKM/ETAP).
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 99, NFPA 110, IEEE, and MA electrical code.
• Located in the Boston area or willing to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on mission critical, healthcare, and life sciences projects from concept through construction administration.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural teams to deliver integrated MEP solutions.
• Review and stamp construction documents, specs, and calculations.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on technical standards and best practices.
• Present design recommendations to owners, architects, and contractors.
• Stay current with codes governing critical facilities and healthcare spaces.
