Job summary

Studio Z, Zillow Group's in-house creative agency, seeks a senior editor to lead our Content team in search and AI-powered discovery. You will plan, edit, and publish a large volume of consumer-facing educational articles guiding buyers, sellers, renters, and financiers, while shaping how AI tools and SEO influence content strategy.

You will own the editorial calendar, guide contract writers, ensure accuracy and brand alignment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve visibility

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of editorial experience in real estate/financing topics.
• Proven ability to own a content vertical and guide writers.
• Strong editing, research, and fact-checking with accuracy.
• Experience with SEO and AI-influenced content strategies.
• Familiarity with legal/compliance reviews in regulated topics is a plus.
• Ability to manage a high-volume editorial calendar and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, edit, and publish hundreds of consumer-facing educational articles yearly.
• Own editorial calendar, assign topics, and guide contract writers.
• Collaborate with Traffic/SEO and AI teams to optimize topics and outlines.
• Work with Economic Research to translate housing data into accessible guides.
• Lead accuracy and brand alignment through expert, legal, and compliance reviews.
• Experiment with AI-assisted workflows while maintaining human editorial quality.
