Job summary

Clearwaters.IT is seeking a remote Senior EDI MUMPS developer to design, develop, and maintain legacy MUMPS/Caché systems in a healthcare setting. You will perform coding, unit testing, and debugging, and collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions while supporting testing and production.

The role requires 10 years of direct software development experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with HL7 and other healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience developing and supporting applications in MUMPS and InterSystems Caché.
• Experience supporting legacy healthcare systems.
• Proficiency with design, coding, and unit testing.
• Ability to work directly with customers or end users.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions in a legacy MUMPS/Caché environment.
• Perform coding, unit testing, and debugging for ongoing enhancements.
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Participate in Beta/IOC testing with active medical centers and resolve issues.
• Provide ongoing production support and troubleshooting for deployed apps.
• Document technical designs, processes, and system behavior.
• Work independently and within a cross-functional team to meet deadlines.
