Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on MUMPS/M development experience.
• Experience developing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting MUMPS/M routines in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of MUMPS/M routines, data structures, program flow, and application logic.
• Ability to analyze existing code, identify defects, implement fixes, and validate code, data, and workflow impacts.
• Familiarity with structured data exchange, interfaces, message-based workflows, batch processing, and external system integrations.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including requirements analysis, test support, defect resolution, and release support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and maintain MUMPS/M routines and related application logic.
• Analyze requirements, defects, and user-reported issues to determine needed code changes, data impacts, and validation steps.
• Support application changes involving data validation, structured data exchange, interface-driven workflows, or transaction processing, including integrations with external systems and APIs.
• Review existing MUMPS/M code and data structures to understand business rules and dependencies.
• Implement code fixes and enhancements in line with coding, testing, and release practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support releases.
• Support testing and defect resolution; document results and assist with release validation.
• Collaborate with team members to clarify requirements and validate outcomes.
• Prepare technical notes and guidance for builds and releases.
