Blu Omega Inc. is actively seeking a MUMPS Developer to support a federal telehealth program. The role involves designing and maintaining MUMPS-based applications within an enterprise health IT environment, delivering integrations with modern web apps and APIs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of MUMPS experience and a track record in Agile teams, with eligibility for VA Public Trust suitability. This is a remote position with potential backend collaboration across federal healthcare projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on MUMPS software development experience.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs and integrating MUMPS applications with external systems.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain MUMPS-based applications and software systems.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and production issues.
• Develop enhancements and new functionality for healthcare and enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and front-end developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain integrations between MUMPS applications and modern web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Apply software design principles, architectural patterns, and best practices to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and sprint planning activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing across the team.
