Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Backend Systems Engineer to design, build, and run large-scale distributed services that power mission-critical workloads. You will shape core platforms for multiple teams, focusing on scalability, reliability, performance, and clean engineering practices.

The ideal candidate will combine strong CS fundamentals with hands-on experience operating distributed systems at scale, balancing consistency, availability, and latency across workloads.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
• Six+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Scala, or similar.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts, including consensus and CAP trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka.
• Experience operating systems at scale, including capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with both relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and mentorship skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement large-scale distributed backend systems with Java, Go, Scala, or similar.
• Architect data partitioning, replication, and consistency strategies.
• Build resilient APIs and event-driven services with observability and idempotency.
• Optimize systems for latency, throughput, and cost with profiling and load testing.
• Lead architecture reviews and design discussions across teams.
• Implement robust failure-handling patterns including retries and circuit breakers.
• Design and operate scalable data stores including relational and NoSQL systems.
• Build observability with logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Drive incident response and post-incident learning for core services.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and uphold code quality and operations.
• Collaborate with SRE and platform teams to improve reliability and reduce toil.
• Contribute to long-term architecture and roadmap while ensuring near-term delivery.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for onboarding and support.
