Capital One seeks a Senior Director, Tax Accounting to guide global tax provisioning, reporting, and forecasting. You will partner with the Chief Tax Officer and finance leadership to influence ETR, tax credits, and capital planning, while supervising a 4-person tax team.

Remote-eligible role with strong emphasis on SOX controls, regulatory compliance, and strategic advisory within a banking context. Ownership of tax accounting for acquisitions and divestitures is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or quantitative field; CPA designation preferred.
• CPA designation active or previously achieved and inactive is acceptable.
• 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience in public company or advisory role.
• At least 5 years leading teams/managing people.

Responsabilidades

• Lead global tax provision preparation, review, and sign-off (ASC 740).
• Oversee SEC filings disclosures ensuring accuracy and transparency.
• Manage ETR and global deferred tax assets/liabilities.
• Lead tax forecasting, cash flow optimization, and capital planning.
• Direct tax workstreams for CCAR and capital stress testing.
• Mentor and develop a team of 4 tax professionals.
