Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Director, Risk Management & Construction Risk to serve as the company’s top risk advisor, shaping the enterprise risk framework and financing strategy across projects nationwide.

The role collaborates with Operations, Preconstruction, Safety, Finance, and Legal to embed risk considerations in key decisions, with formal leadership across ERM, insurance, and captive risk strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required.
• MBA or Master’s degree preferred for advanced risk management leadership.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise/ construction risk, insurance, or operational risk.
• Experience with captive/self-insurance and large deductible programs preferred.
• Experience managing large-scale insurance and risk financing programs.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and Boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Enterprise Risk Management framework and reporting.
• Advise executive leadership and the Board on enterprise and operational risks.
• Develop KRIs, risk assessments, and executive dashboards.
• Partner with Operations, Legal, and Finance on risk-informed decisions.
• Oversee insurance programs, renewals, and program governance.
• Evaluate alternative risk financing and captive options.
• Lead surety program management and risk transfer practices.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing risk team.
