Job summary

EAB is seeking a Senior Director, Research Advisory Services Terrain Lead to guide strategic advisory work for higher education and K-12 clients. The role blends terrain mastery with executive-level storytelling and data-driven insights to inform transformation and fundraising efforts.

You will lead a team, partner with senior leaders, and deliver high-impact presentations, workshops, and consultations across markets, with substantial travel and remote flexibility within the continental US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 8–10 years of post-graduate experience in higher education, research, or management consulting.
• Experience with Chief Advancement Officers or Strategy leads at colleges or universities.
• Deep understanding of education industry and senior leadership roles in strategy, fundraising, and donor engagement.
• Strong verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to create narratives through data visualization, graphics, and slides.
• Excellent relationship-building and collaboration with senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Terrain Mastery: build expertise in advancement and other terrains to guide strategy and donor engagement.
• Content Delivery: diagnose problems, guide decisions, and present insights via calls, meetings, and on-campus sessions.
• Customer Success: collaborate to deliver scalable client delivery and support renewal decisions.
• Research Collaboration: generate original insights and share market trends with colleagues.
• Team and Talent Management: lead, onboard, and develop RAS staff to retain talent.
