Job summary
Avantor seeks a Senior Director, Global Engineering to lead our worldwide engineering function, shaping strategy and governance across capital programs and site-wide manufacturing systems. This remote role includes 25% travel and direct oversight of multi-site projects.
You will drive digital transformation, OEE optimization, and safety/compliance initiatives, partnering with PMO, IT, and site leadership to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 15+ years in engineering/operations leadership.
- Experience leading global engineering orgs and capital portfolios (multi-site).
- Strong background in Process Safety Management (PSM) and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute global engineering strategy aligned with growth and sustainability goals.
- Oversee capital programs up to $20M and plant builds/expansions above $100M.
- Lead automation, digital platforms, and IT/OT integration across sites.
- Drive OEE improvements and enterprise-wide reliability programs.
- Partner with EPC firms, vendors, and cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes.
- Develop leaders and workforce planning for a global engineering organization.
