Job summary

Day & Zimmermann in Charlotte, NC seeks a Sr. Director of Estimating, MC to lead enterprise estimating across multiple markets and delivery models.

You will guide strategic direction, governance, and processes to deliver competitive, risk-balanced proposals for EPC, industrial, energy, renewables, and capital projects. The role emphasizes executive-level collaboration, standards development, and continuous improvement to drive margins and outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
12+ years of progressive estimating, project controls, construction, or related experience in EPC, industrial, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
5+ years leading estimating or cross‑functional teams; 3+ years supporting executive reviews and pricing approvals.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise estimating organization with strategic direction and governance.
Oversee development of conceptual through definitive estimates and cost models for large-scale projects.
Partner with executive leadership to develop commercially competitive proposals and pricing strategies.
Establish enterprise estimating standards, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
