First National Bank of Omaha seeks a Sr. Director, Advanced Data Scientist to lead the Partnership Division's data science and modeling efforts, defining a multi-year roadmap and delivering scalable credit decisioning models for acquisition and portfolio management.

The role blends deep quantitative expertise with executive presence to shape strategy, align stakeholders, and own end-to-end model development, monitoring, and governance across data sources.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience developing statistical or machine learning models.
• Strong experience with Python and/or R; strong SQL skills.
• Experience with gradient boosting-related methods and neural networks.
• Familiarity with model explainability techniques such as SHAP.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year modeling roadmap for credit-risk acquisition and portfolio management.
• Independently design and develop advanced ML models for credit risk and account management.
• Lead end-to-end model development from problem definition to production deployment.
• Develop monitoring frameworks and address model performance and risk.
• Collaborate with validation, risk, and technology teams to ensure governance.
