First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) seeks a Sr. Director, Advanced Data Scientist to lead the data science and modeling function within the Partnership Division.

You will own the multi-year modeling roadmap, oversee development of advanced ML models for credit decisioning and portfolio management, and partner with risk, compliance, and technology teams to drive business impact. You will shape strategy, lead end-to-end model ownership, and advance analytics with interpretable approaches,

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, CS, Mathematics or related field.
• PhD strongly preferred for candidates with strong research in ML/statistics/quantitative finance.
• 7+ years of experience developing statistical or ML models in financial services or consumer credit.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year modeling roadmap for credit-risk models.
• Lead development and deployment of advanced ML models for credit decisioning and portfolio management.
• Translate business objectives into modeling frameworks and performance criteria.
• Establish training/validation/out-of-time testing strategies and document methods.
• Monitor model performance and risk, and coordinate with validation and risk teams.
