Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to act as a national expert in Commercial Property & Casualty and agency operations. You will collaborate with divisional leaders to standardize workflows, scale operations, and drive performance across the organization.

The role emphasizes leading change, optimizing processes, and supporting producers and leaders in delivering high-quality client service while maximizing shareholder value.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and execute Commercial Lines initiatives.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish and promote standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and quality.
• Evaluate issues and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing models to support growth and capacity planning.
• Ensure alignment between Managed Services and organizational goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and planning.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Promote EPIC utilization and effective tech adoption.
• Use metrics to evaluate performance and drive improvements.
• Lead change management and continuous professional development.
