Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to serve as a national SME in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance and agency operations. This role partners with divisional leadership to advance objectives, optimize operational effectiveness, and strengthen Commercial Lines performance.

The position drives workflow standardization, workforce planning, and strategic initiatives, including M&A integration and transformation of the agency model to deliver exceptional client

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows across the organization.
• Lead process improvements to increase productivity and client outcomes.
• Evaluate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing models and workloads to develop capacity plans.
• Partner with Managed Services to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Serve as a national Commercial P&C subject matter expert on operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support merger and acquisition initiatives through integration planning and standardization.
• Build partnerships with producers, operations teams, and leadership to drive engagement and outcomes.
• Promote effective use of EPIC, workflows, reporting tools, and tech platforms.
• Utilize metrics and BI to drive improvements and accountability.
• Lead organizational change efforts and professional development.
• Champion IOA values in all interactions.
