Job summary

AGC Biologics is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to lead a global pipeline and close high‑value CDMO agreements. This remote role focuses on expanding our presence across regions and business segments, reporting to senior commercial leadership and guiding a high‑performing BD team.

You will shape client partnerships, provide market intelligence, and collaborate across technical, legal, marketing, and operations to drive strategic growth in the biopharmaceutical landscape.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of demonstrated success in Business Development or Sales in life sciences/CDMO.
• Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and close complex contracts.
• Willingness to travel 50% for client engagements, site visits, and industry events.
• Experience leading and coaching junior sales professionals.

Responsibilities

• Identify, lead, and close new development and manufacturing contracts with prospective and existing clients to drive visibility, growth, and profitability.
• Develop and execute a strategic territory plan aligned with annual revenue and pipeline goals.
• Implement targeted commercial strategies that expand market share and strengthen AGC Biologics’ competitive position.
• Establish and engage a strong network of prospective clients; effectively communicate company capabilities and value propositions to technical and business stakeholders.
• Lead client site visits, including agenda planning and cross‑functional coordination to advance opportunities.
• Coordinate technical, legal, financial, and operational inputs required for deal evaluation and closure.
• Represent AGC Biologics at conferences, trade shows, and industry meetings.
