Job summary

Prime Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Director of Actuarial Forecasting to lead a team of actuaries in setting pricing strategy and developing innovative actuarial models. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent.
• 10 years of actuarial work experience, 5 in healthcare or the PBM industry.
• 7 years of leadership experience.
• Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA).
• Excellent quantitative, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
• Strong client consulting presence; ability to distill complex material into easy to understand presentations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders across the organization.
• Master's degree or credentialed equivalent.
• Experience in identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients’ complex pharmacy benefit challenges.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy plan design.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of actuaries to provide strategic pricing advice on structures and methodology using market research, financial projections, and complex actuarial modeling
• Collaborates with underwriters, client engagement, and senior leadership on RFP process and other pricing and risk management initiatives related to various lines of business
• Engages with functional leadership to develop and maintain forecasting assumptions related to utilization, unit cost, benefit design, and regulatory events
• Develops processes to ensure scalability and effective control of work product following actuarial standards of practice
• Leads negotiations and presentations and translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
• Manage department budget, staffing, performance and development, and consistently demonstrate Prime’s leadership expectations during interactions with direct reports, cross functional and external stakeholders
