Job summary

Maximus is seeking an IT Senior Architect - DevSecOps to lead enterprise DevSecOps, CI/CD strategy, and secure software delivery across the Maximus Enterprise Technology organization. This high-visibility role directs Jenkins Shared Libraries, Groovy, Terraform, Crossplane, and embedded security tooling for 1,000+ government programs under FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years IT experience with 5+ years in senior DevSecOps/platform engineering/architecture.
• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Eligible for US Public Trust or Secret clearance; active clearance preferred.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD design using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins; Groovy.
• Experience with enterprise artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory, Nexus).
• Proficiency with Crossplane, Terraform, CloudFormation; cloud-native architecture and Kubernetes.
• Experience with secure pipelines in regulated environments (FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI, NIST).
• Leadership across AWS, Azure, GCP; multi-account architectures.
• Knowledge of TGW and Aviatrix networking.
• Hands-on with security tooling and vulnerability management in CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Oversee automation processes for daily activities, builds, and new features in public/private cloud.
• Interact with IT teams across organization.
• Enforce standards for server builds and services deployed in AWS and private cloud.
• Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
• Serve as principal architect for enterprise DevSecOps platform using Jenkins Shared Libraries, Groovy, Terraform, Crossplane.
• Establish CI/CD pipeline model from source control to cloud deployment including SAST/DAST, artifact management, and policy gates.
• Provide architecture decisions for multi-environment deployment on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Embed automated security controls into pipelines (Dependency Track, Splunk, RapidFort, Axway MFT).
• Ensure pipelines align with NIST SSDF, FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI; collaborate with ISO on reviews.
• Champion security-left practices across 300+ DevSecOps practitioners.
• Participate in governance bodies for SCM/Change Management; author architecture documents.
• Mentor T3/T4 architects and engineers across Tools Engineering.
• Lead internal DevSecOps community of practice; define golden-path templates and 65-75% portfolio reuse.
