Job summary

Jamf is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to automate and develop the backend infrastructure powering the Jamf Cloud, enabling customers to manage Apple devices. This role emphasizes automation, security, and scalable infrastructure within an Agile environment.

The position is remote in Poland with sponsorship to live and work there. You will collaborate with product, cloud, and delivery teams to implement IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in CI tools and automation (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions).
• 3+ years in config management and deployment tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• 3+ years in systems administration, performance analysis, capacity planning.
• 3+ years as power user of various operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain production environments using IaC, config as code, serverless, and containers.
• Ensure security best practices are integrated into system designs and configurations.
• Evaluate, plan, configure, and implement new software services.
• Develop custom tools and automation via programming and scripting.
• Support CI/CD by maintaining and scaling the environment as needed.
• Apply data lifecycle management for backups, permissions, and auditing.
• Participate in on-call rotation, triage alerts, and assist in disaster recovery.
• Agile contributions: code reviews, velocity estimation, planning input.
• Collaborate with product owners, development, cloud and delivery teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Perform other duties per departmental policies.
• Set technical direction for team responsibilities.
• Cross-train staff on new technologies.
• Mentor others and delegate tasks.
