Job description

At Jamf, we believe in an open, flexible culture based on respect and trust. Our track record and thriving work environment all stem from the freedom we grant ourselves to get the job done right. We take pride in helping tens of thousands of customers around the globe succeed with Apple.

The secret to our success lies in our connectivity, while operating with a high degree of flexibility. Work-life balance remains our priority while feeling connected is important to maintain our strong culture, achieve our goals, and thrive as #OneJamf.

This role is offered as a hybrid in Brno, Czech Republic. We are only able to accept applications for those based in the Czech Republic or who have sponsorship to live and work in the Czech Republic. #LI-Hybrid

What you'll do at Jamf:

At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work.

Most front end roles ask you to ship features. This one asks you to build the foundation other teams build on top of.
As a Senior Software Engineer you would join thePandoCats team, that owns Jamf's shared frontend platform and design system. We build a micro-frontend platform that hosts shared UI as dynamically federated micro-frontends, a framework-agnostic Web Components design system, and the docs site and tooling that go with it. It's not one team's feature - it's infrastructure that other product teams depend on, so the reach of what you build here goes well beyond your own sprint. This is a platform-leaning role: you'll spend more time designing reusable architecture, components, and tooling than shipping a single product surface, and you'll move across React, Vue, and Angular as the problem demands. If you want to grow into deeper architectural thinking and technical leadership that crosses team lines, this is a genuinely good place to do it. The problems are real, the team is experienced and collaborative, and we operate with a level of trust and autonomy that's rare to find. We're a hybrid team spanning the Czech Republic and the US. This role is based in the Czech Republic.

What you can expect to do in this role:
  • Design component and service APIs with backward compatibility and versioning in mind, since they're consumed by multiple teams across the org.
  • Debug across framework and runtime boundaries - Shadow DOM style/event encapsulation, Module Federation version and dependency resolution
  • Usage of AI coding tools as part of your workflow while still validating their output.
  • Break down customer problems into work you and the team can execute on.
  • Independently complete tasks from start to finish with high quality.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Use your knowledge of Engineering best practices to ask the right questions, solve problems and build great software with a high level of quality.
  • Produce designs for new and existing features.
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts with others in the organization (Technical Communication, Support, Product and Cloud).
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and purpose of the organization.
  • Adheres to the highest moral, ethical and legal standards to deliver and environment that promotes respect, innovation and creativity.
  • Supports and promotes a positive, inclusive workplace one in which the talents and strengths of our increasingly diverse workforce are welcomed, further developed and manifested in our work.
What we are looking for:
Required skills and experience:
  • Strong TypeScript (strict mode) and JavaScript fundamentals - async patterns, the DOM, and Web Components (custom elements, Shadow DOM).
  • React as a primary framework, plus working comfort in Vue 3 and Angular - you can move between them and reason about framework-agnostic abstractions.
  • Comfort in a monorepo (we use Nx and pnpm workspaces, Vite as a primary bundler).
  • A testing habit, not just a testing checkbox - Vitest for unit/component tests, Playwright for E2E and visual regression.
  • AI as a force multiplier, not a crutch. You use AI coding tools actively and fluently as part of your day-to-day workflow: generating scaffolding, exploring unfamiliar APIs, accelerating test coverage, and reasoning through design tradeoffs. You also know when to trust the output and when to push back on it. On a platform team, the bar for quality is high because your code is other teams' foundation. AI helps you move faster, but you own what ships.
  • Minimum of 5 years building enterprise-grade software, with the judgment to break ambiguous problems into work you and the team can execute on, and the communication skills to explain the "why" to teams who consume your platform.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in current programming language and tools based on position requirements.
Preferred skills and experience:
  • Experience with micro-frontend architecture - Module Federation and runtime service-injection / dependency-injection patterns for sharing services across frameworks.
  • Experience building or maintaining a design-token pipeline (e.g. Style Dictionary) or authoring build/bundler plugins.
  • AWS / infrastructure-as-code exposure (CDK, CloudFront, etc.).
  • Accessibility fundamentals (WCAG, focus management, Shadow DOM implications).
  • Experience working within an agile organization.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
