Job summary

Jack Henry is seeking an experienced Level III engineer to architect and automate Linux-based infrastructure in a remote role within the US. You will drive provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching, monitoring, and operational workflows while partnering with security and development teams.

You will act as a technical resource, lead complex initiatives, and help establish Linux engineering standards. Prioritize security, scalability, and reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing, and supporting software applications.
• Experience with C# development, SQL DB administration, debugging, and source control.
• Experience automating Linux patching and lifecycle management.
• Experience with Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and infrastructure API integration.
• Experience in Agile or DevOps environments.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle from design to defect fixing.
• Contributes to deployment automation and config management tooling.
• Develops scripting-based software using agile methodologies.
• Maintains container orchestration with Kubernetes to deploy and scale apps.
• Maintains automated deployment pipelines and collaborates with multiple teams.
• Adheres to security, policy, and compliance standards.
• Manages database service levels and performance.
