Job summary

Jack Henry is seeking a Level III engineer with strong Linux systems expertise to automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching, monitoring, and workflows. You will lead complex infrastructure initiatives and establish DevOps and Linux standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This remote role requires residing within roughly 70 miles of specified office locations and may include onsite onboarding or interviews to verify identity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting software applications.
• Proficiency in C# development, SQL administration, debugging, and source control.
• Experience automating Linux patching and OS lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing Linux security hardening and compliance controls.
• Familiarity with artifact repositories and package management.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating infrastructure via APIs.
• Experience in Agile or DevOps engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Design and implement deployment automation and configuration management tools.
• Develop software using scripting languages with agile methodologies.
• Configure and maintain Kubernetes to deploy and scale applications.
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Adhere to standards related to software development, security, and compliance.
• Manage database service levels and performance.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
