Job summary

Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Level III engineer with strong Linux systems expertise to automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching, and monitoring.

You will lead complex infrastructure initiatives and collaborate with security, development, and operations teams in a remote, nationwide role. The ideal candidate has 4+ years designing and supporting software, hands-on experience with C#, SQL, REST APIs, and container technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting software applications.
• Experience with C# development, SQL database administration, debugging, and source control practices.
• Experience automating Linux patching and OS lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls.
• Familiarity with artifact repositories and package-management solutions.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating infrastructure via APIs.
• Experience in an Agile or DevOps environment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Designs and implements deployment automation and configuration management.
• Develops software using scripting languages within Agile/DevOps contexts.
• Configures and maintains Kubernetes-based container orchestration for deployment at scale.
• Builds, improves, and maintains automated deployment pipelines.
• Collaborates with development, operations, and security teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Adheres to security/compliance standards and organizational policies.
• Manages database service levels and performance.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
