Job summary

Jack Henry is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient DevOps solutions. This remote role requires living within about 70 miles of Allen, TX, with occasional onsite interviews to verify identity.

You will work with SQL, Datadog, PowerShell, Java, NodeJS, and Azure DevOps or Jsource to enhance deployment automation and software delivery processes.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a specialized engineering role (e.g., apprenticeship, internship, or equivalent).
• Experience with SQL and Datadog.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell, Java, NodeJS, Azure DevOps or Jsource.

Responsibilities

• Learn to actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, prototyping, detailed design, development, documentation, and defect fixes.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of deployment automation and configuration management tools.
• Develop software in scripting languages using agile design-build-test methodologies.
• Construct, improve, and maintain automated deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with team members from developers, operations, and QA, communicating progress and solutions clearly.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
