Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer focused on Continuous Delivery and deployment automation. You will own the design and execution of scalable release pipelines, progressive delivery, feature flags, and automated rollback across regions.

You will lead the creation of automated deployment frameworks, integrate testing, security, and telemetry into pipelines, and partner with SRE and Architecture to improve reliability and deployment safety at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating CD/Release automation at scale.
• Knowledge of progressive delivery and feature flagging for controlled releases.
• Experience with modern CI/CD platforms and automation.
• Strong scripting in Go, Python, Bash or similar languages.
• Understanding of artifact management and promotion across environments.
• Experience integrating testing, security, quality, and telemetry into pipelines.
• Proficient with AWS Cloud, Terraform, and container platforms (Kubernetes/ECS).
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines from artifact promotion to production rollout.
• Architect and automate deployment workflows for multiple apps and environments.
• Design progressive delivery strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling).
• Orchestrate releases across services, environments, and regions with automation.
• Lead feature flagging integration with deployment workflows.
• Build and evolve deployment frameworks with scalable automation.
• Improve deployment observability with metrics and dashboards.
• Collaborate with SRE, Security, and Infrastructure on reliability and guardrails.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams.
