Job summary

1Password is seeking a Developer Marketing professional to own lifecycle programs and drive activation and retention for a technical audience. You will work with Engineers, Developer Advocates, and product teams to optimize onboarding, signups, and ongoing engagement.

You will leverage tools like Customer.io, HubSpot, Braze, and analytics platforms to improve conversion, and you will craft developer-focused content, tutorials, and API documentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in developer marketing, lifecycle or CRM marketing for a technical or developer-facing product.
• Proven experience building lifecycle programs that improved activation and retention with measurable results.
• Hands-on experience with marketing automation and lifecycle tools (Customer.io, HubSpot, Braze, Iterable) and product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog).
• Experience owning or improving website conversion performance, including A/B testing.
• Strong writing skills with an instinct for what developers find useful and credible.
• Comfort working with engineers, developer advocates, APIs/CLI/SDKs, and documentation.
• Remote, async-friendly work; preferred: product-led growth, SQL, HTML, CSS, scripting, SEO, docs-led growth, or communities.

Responsibilities

• Build capture-to-activation flows for leads from conferences, meetups, hackathons, webinars, and social channels.
• Collaborate with Developers Relations to ensure events, talks, and social moments have clear CTAs and tracking.
• Turn social engagement into measurable traffic and signups via right landing pages and offers.
• Design and run lifecycle programs across onboarding, activation, adoption, re-engagement, and expansion using email, in-product messaging, and community channels.
• Define activation milestones and tailor messaging by behavior, language, technology stack, and source.
• Own the Developer Hub’s strategy, messaging, and conversion; run tests on copy, CTAs, and signup flows.
• Write or oversee tutorials, quickstarts, sample apps, changelogs, and emails; build analytics from first touch to retention.
