Job summary

Norstella is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design and deploy production-grade AI systems leveraging LLMs and advanced ML techniques. You will build multi-agent workflows, optimize RAG pipelines, and extend MCP servers to connect data tools safely.

You will collaborate with product partners to apply AI across pharma intelligence, deliver scalable microservices, and stay ahead of AI advances with rigorous testing and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AI/ML development experience, preferably regulated industries.
• Ex: pharma, legal, financial services or energy.
• Graduate degree in CS or related field or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy production-ready AI systems using LLMs and ML.
• Build multi-agent systems and orchestration workflows (LangChain/LangGraph/AutoGen).
• Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines and vector DBs.
• Implement MCP servers to connect models with data tools safely.
• Architect scalable APIs and microservices (FastAPI).
• Collaborate with product teams to apply AI/ML to content/products.
• Research and deploy algorithms as microservices with content/engineering teams.
• Establish testing to prevent hallucinations and ensure accuracy.
• Contribute to the common DS platform; stay updated with advances.
• All other duties as assigned.
