Job summary

Norstella is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to drive production AI initiatives for pharma intelligence. You will design systems using large language models, build multi-agent workflows, and optimize retrieval augmented generation pipelines.

You will ensure safe data interactions via MCP servers and deploy robust microservices with scalable APIs. You will collaborate with product teams and researchers to advance AI capabilities, publish findings, and mentor junior members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing AI/ML applications in regulated industries.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field.
• Strong NLP, deep learning, and generative AI expertise.
• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks and APIs.
• Proven ability to build production-grade AI services.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy production-ready AI systems leveraging LLMs for pharma intelligence.
• Build multi-agent systems using LangChain or similar frameworks.
• Develop RAG pipelines and manage vector databases.
• Implement MCP servers to connect models with data tools.
• Architect scalable APIs and microservices for low-latency use.
• Collaborate with partners and scientists to apply AI to products.
• Research ML methods and deliver algorithms as microservices.
• Establish testing to manage hallucinations and maintain stability.
• Contribute to the shared data science platform and stay current with advances.
