Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff Data Fabric Architect to lead design and implementation of data fabric solutions focused on customer experiences. The role emphasizes scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures for customer-facing apps and analytics.

The candidate will guide architecture strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with preference for Eastern Time Zone residents. This is a remote role across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of data architecture experience
• 5+ years in Data Architecture
• Military experience counts toward professional experience
• Experience designing and implementing data fabric solutions using Denodo, Tibco Data Virtualization, Collibra or Alation

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and evangelize the data fabric architecture strategy and roadmap for customer-centric data initiatives across CSCX.
• Collaborate with product management, implementation leads, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into robust and scalable data fabric solutions.
• Develop and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines for consistency, quality, and compliance across customer data assets.
• Drive the integration of diverse data sources (on‑prem, cloud, third‑party) into a unified data fabric for various applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and development teams on data fabric principles and implementation strategies.
• Identify and mitigate data-related risks including security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data fabric and governance.
• Document data fabric architecture, designs, and processes comprehensively for knowledge sharing.
