Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the governed transformation layer end-to-end in a remote setting. You will design Snowflake layers, migrate legacy SQL to versioned dbt models, and establish conformed dimensions across multi-ERP environments. The role emphasizes CI/CD, documentation, and strong Python; salary is $101,000–$161,800 on W2.

You’ll work hands-on with dbt, SQL, and Python to deliver reliable data foundations for BI and AI/ML initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data or analytics engineering
• Expert SQL including window functions and incremental loads
• 3+ years of production dbt experience
• Kimball dimensional modeling experience
• Experience with at least one ingestion tool (Fivetran/Airbyte/Informatica/Matillion)
• Git & CI/CD for data with modern pipelines
• Python for data tooling and automation
• Experience with enterprise ERP data (Oracle, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, MS Dynamics)
• Strong written communication and documentation
• Self-starter in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Design and build Snowflake transformation layer from raw to conformed to marts
• Migrate SQL views to versioned dbt models with full lineage
• Define conformed dimensions and facts across multi-ERP environments
• Set standards for modeling, testing, naming, documentation, CI/CD
• Collaborate with report owners to ensure semantic equivalence
• Define semantic layer across Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI
• Implement data quality testing and lineage with dbt tests
• Design models for AI/ML and agent readiness
• Collaborate with AI/analytics teams on features and data foundations
