Eliassen Group in the United States is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the governed transformation layer end-to-end. You will design and build Snowflake transformation layers, migrate legacy SQL views into versioned, tested dbt models with lineage, and define conformed dimensions to unify multi-ERP environments.

The role is a full-time remote opportunity offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits; candidates must work on a W2 basis.

Competenze

• 7+ years in data or analytics engineering with 4+ years on a cloud data warehouse.
• Expert SQL including window functions and incremental loads.
• 3+ years of production dbt experience with tests, snapshots, and documentation.
• Kimball dimensional modeling with star schemas and SCD Type 1/2.
• Experience with ingestion tools (Fivetran, Airbyte, Informatica, Matillion) and orchestrators (dbt Cloud, Airflow, Dagster, Azure Data Factory).
• Git and CI/CD for data using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or GitLab CI.
• Python for data tooling, data quality, and lightweight APIs.
• Experience with ERP data sources (Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics).
• Strong communication and self-motivation in fast-paced environments.

• Design and build Snowflake transformation layer for reporting and AI/ML.
• Migrate SQL views to versioned, tested dbt models with lineage.
• Define conformed dimensions and facts across multi-ERP environments.
• Set standards for modeling, testing, naming, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Partner with report owners to validate semantic equivalence during BI cutovers.
• Own semantic layer across Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI.
• Implement data quality testing and lineage with dbt tests and SOX controls.
• Design models for AI/ML and agent readiness with stable keys and metadata.
• Collaborate with AI/analytics teams on feature-table patterns and gold records.
