Job summary

eSimplicity is seeking a Database Engineer V to support the CMS National Data Warehouse, driving data models, ETL design, and reporting readiness. You will partner with teams across the SDLC to ensure scalable, accurate data delivery for management and operations.

The role emphasizes deep SQL, data warehousing expertise, and leadership in design and implementation, with remote work supporting Eastern Time business hours. Occasional travel <5% may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of database engineering and data warehousing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field (equiv. experience).
• Experience architecting data warehouse solutions and SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for complex data warehouse initiatives.
• Lead data analysis and data model design (logical/physical).
• Develop specs, design logic, and documentation for ETL and DW.
• Analyze source-system changes and data transformation rules.
• Tune database performance and ensure data quality across DW environments.
• Collaborate with teams to meet milestones and deliverables.
