Job summary

eSimplicity Inc. is seeking a Database Engineer V to support the CMS National Data Warehouse. You will design, develop, and maintain data processing systems and data models to enable timely, accurate reporting and BI across the program.

Responsibilities include leading data architecture efforts, analyzing requirements, and ensuring data quality and security in a federal context. This remote role supports ETL flows and complex SQL in Oracle/Redshift environments.

Qualifications

• Complex SQL queries for large multi-format datasets.
• Logical and physical data modeling (relational & dimensional).
• DDL scripting and database updates in Oracle/Redshift.
• Data warehouse architecture, source-to-target mapping, metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements for complex data warehouse initiatives.
• Provide guidance on database and ETL challenges.
• Create specifications, design logic, and documentation for development and testing.
• Lead data analysis and data model design for DW projects.
• Develop and maintain mapping documentation, transformation rules, and BI definitions.
• Review ETL mappings and AWS Glue data flows to the warehouse.
