Job summary

Eve is a remote employer in the USA seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own end‑to‑end data pipelines and production systems. You will manage ingestion connectors, dbt orchestration, and incremental models to cut latency while ensuring reliability.

You will help design scalable data models on Snowflake, enforce security and cost controls, and collaborate with analytics engineers to enable AI‑driven insights for leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering with ownership of production pipelines.
• Strong Python and SQL in ingestion, orchestration, and cloud infra.
• Experience with Fivetran-like ingestion, dbt, and Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Own ingestion through Fivetran, third-party connectors, and custom extraction where no connector exists.
• Own orchestration across dbt platform and GitHub Actions, move to incremental patterns and reduce latency.
• Build source-schema change detection and surface alerts before reports.
• Stand up observability: freshness SLAs, alerting on failure and drift, and incident paths.
• Manage pipeline compute cost and enforce security, RBAC, and data governance.
