AECOM is seeking a Data Center Senior Control System Designer to join our Buildings and Places group, with the option for full remote work. You will design and specify automated control systems for mechanical and electrical infrastructure across mission-critical data center projects worldwide.

The role requires extensive experience with BAS, PLCs, SCADA platforms, and electrical PMS/EPMS, plus strong knowledge of Modbus, BACnet, and EtherNet/IP protocols, ensuring compliance with US codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
• Four years of experience as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer (I&C) or controls contractor creating submittals.
• Experience with BAS & PLC control system platforms.
• Experience with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (PMS/EPMS).
• Demonstrated experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects.
• Experience with data center or other mission-critical environments.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with mechanical design to develop control sequences, diagrams, and points lists for mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with electrical design on network architectures and points lists for distribution and conditioning systems.
• Coordinate with ICT design to align ethernet interfaces with control panels and devices.
• Design OT networks for control systems including ethernet and serial networks.
• Develop basis of design (BOD) for BAS, PLCs, PMS controllers, instrumentation and software.
