Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Data Center Senior Control System Designer to join our Buildings and Places group, supporting remote work from multiple US locations. You will design automation and SCADA systems for complex data centers and mission‑critical infrastructure, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and ICT teams to deliver robust control solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and 8+ years of related experience, including BAS/PLC platforms and PMS/EPMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Experience with BAS & PLC control systems and PMS/EPMS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical design teams to develop control sequences and diagrams for data center systems.
• Develop and tailor BAS, PLC, and PMS specifications in alignment with project design basis.
• Verify compliance with US codes and engineering standards for data center projects.
• Coordinate with ICT design teams for network interfaces to control panels and devices.
• Design resilient OT networks (ethernet, serial) for critical facilities.
• Support project meetings and deliverables on time and within budget.
