Job summary

Katmai Government Services is seeking a senior Data Analytics Engineer to support the Decennial Budget Integration Tool (DBiT) with the U.S. Census Bureau.

Apply expert knowledge of Oracle APEX, Cognos Analytics, Java legacy frameworks, Oracle databases, AWS, and Agile practices to model data, build BI reports, and migrate schemas toward Postgres. Responsibilities include collaborating with analysts and stakeholders, delivering data model changes through release processes, supporting sprint

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or higher in information systems, computer science, data science, analytics, engineering, or related field.
• Eight+ years of progressive data analytics, advanced data modeling, and BI experience.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum in a government CI/CD environment.
• Experience producing status reports, staffing plans, and risk communications.

Responsibilities

• Produce BI reports and analytics to support DBO operational objectives.
• Conduct end-to-end data modeling beyond Cognos.
• Support Oracle platform schema, views, and migrate toward Postgres.
• Collaborate with analysts to design/refine data models aligned with business requirements.
• Deliver data model changes through change management and release processes.
• Engage with USCB customers to document requirements in Confluence.
• Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives; translate priorities into work.
