Job summary

Resolve to Save Lives, a global health organization, seeks a Senior Technical Advisor, Data Use and Decision Science to bridge complex epidemiological data with public health action. This role centers on the DRC Collaborative Surveillance portfolio, advancing data use for Ebola preparedness and real-time decision support.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field; PhD a plus.
• At least 12 years of experience in infectious disease surveillance and analytics or equivalent.
• Experience supporting Ebola outbreak preparedness/response and working in Africa preferred.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into decision-ready outputs and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Support epidemic intelligence activities to inform decision-making and develop data use products and automated pipelines.
• Map existing systems and needs with HQ and country teams to set implementation priorities.
• Provide hands-on mentorship to ensure in-country capabilities are sustained.
• Train staff on tools like DHIS2, EMS, R and R Markdown for data management and analytics.
