Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Cypress Automation Engineer to design, develop, and run automated tests for healthcare applications. You will join the Quality Engineering team and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and client stakeholders to support high-quality releases in an Agile setting.

You will automate regression tests using Cypress, validate APIs with Postman/SoapUI, and perform backend data checks using Oracle or SQL Server.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of functional testing experience including test planning and execution.
• 3+ years hands-on Cypress automation development and maintenance.
• Strong experience automating regression test cases and building reusable Cypress components.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress, focusing on regression test cases.
• Build reusable automation components, test suites, and test data to improve efficiency.
• Translate requirements into test strategies, plans, and detailed test cases with stakeholders.
• Perform functional, regression, API, database, release, and UAT testing across Agile cycles.
• Validate APIs and web services with Postman or SoapUI; validate data with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Manage defects and produce test-execution reports and release-quality summaries using Jira and qTest.
• Coordinate with Product Owners to plan and execute UAT.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and daily scrums.
