Job summary

Parallon is seeking a Senior CVIR Revenue Integrity Coding Specialist to ensure CVIR services are accurately charged and coded. This role is based in a remote capacity but requires proximity to an HCA Healthcare hospital within 60 miles.

You will educate physicians and departments, consult across IT, EHR, and CDM teams, and drive opportunities for accurate reimbursement in Cath Lab, IR, and EP service lines.

Qualifications

• Outpatient Coding experience or Cath Lab/IR experience required.
• RHIA or RHIT or CPC or COC or CCS, or CIRCC certifications required.
• Associates Degree required.
• Minimum 1 year coding/HIM experience.
• Minimum 3 years healthcare experience in hospital operations or clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Codes charges CPCS/CPT based on medical record documentation for Cath Lab/IR/EP service lines.
• Coordinates with facilities to obtain missing medical record documentation.
• Identifies trends and addresses issues related to charge capture.
• Educates facility departments on National and Local Coverage Determination.
• Performs reviews to verify accuracy of charges and CDM assignments.
• Supports Revenue Integrity by optimizing processes for accurate reporting and reimbursement.
• Provides focused education to clinical and coding stakeholders as needed.
• Monitors CDM/system updates for appropriate reimbursement.
• Monitors KPIs to identify RI initiatives for assigned facilities.
